The Widows Luncheon sponsored by the Past Masters Association was well-attended with four of our widows attending this year. Thanks for all the brothers who came and gave moral support to our widows. For those who missed the affair, some photos taken that evening can be found in our website together with other pictures from previous affairs e.g. Lessing Dinner Dance, Wardens Dinner Dance and other Allemania Events. If you cannot personally participate in these events, you are always welcome to go to our website to see and be updated in all our lodge’s ‘happenings’. http://www.allemanialodge740.org/is our website address just in case you don’t know it yet. On our second meeting in May, we are going to elect our new set of Officers for the ensuing year. I, therefore, would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported me and made my term as Master of this august lodge for the past two years as easy as possible. Without their help, guidance and moral support, I would not be able to survive even for one year. I owe you my brothers a lot and I want to solicit your support and urge you to do as much, if not more, for the new set of Officers we will elect and appoint to their respective Stations and Places.

From the West
A lot of planning had gotten into the planning of our 136th Annual Dinner dance. I am happy to report, that I have the support of my lodge and specifically the deacons and the junior warden. As in the past RW Dieter Borbeck has helped me in the negotiation with the restaurant. I expect a good showing, but whoever has not made their reservation, make it fast!
On May18th we have the election and installation of new officers and I hope to be accepted by the brothers of our lodge as their new Master. Bro. John Boyen

My brothers – welcome to summer. I hope to see all my brothers at the Allemania Dinner Dance on the 2nd. of May. The Master picnic is coming up on Sunday, June 7 at Tappan, it’s always a wonderful day. Let’s have a great turnout and support our Master.

In Memoriam
My apologies for printing error in our April Meeting Notice. Bro. RobertRutter, (not Henry) passed away on January 9, 2009 in N.C. Brother Robert would have celebrated his 60 year milestone in Masonry on Dec.5, 2009.
Glad Tidings
Our R:. W:. Bro. Dieter Borbeck and wife Ursula made a surprise visit at the home of our Honorary member Bro. Dr. Henrich Luyken and his lovely Gattin Marie-Luise in Gummersbach, Germany. Both were very pleased to see Bro. Dieter and Ursula and they spent a few hours of quality time together. .Brother Henrich sends fraternal greetings to all “ Allemnia brothers”. Brother Dieter also visited die Loge “3 Schluessel zum Aufgehenden Licht No.54” in Regensburg,

In dedicated newsletters we can inform the brothers of issues we discussed in meetings as well as put ideas out to be discussed.
There doesnt have to be a strict format for it.
Since there have been no past newsletter that I am aware of, we wont have to create a far reaching history yet.
