The 2009 Masters Picnic was held on Sunday, June 7th at the German Masonic Park in Tappan. The event was open from like 11am til about 6pm. Several Lodges opened their booth's for enhanced cameraderie. Copernicus, Lessing and Uhland Lodge provided food at their locations.
The Ladies of Trinity Lodge and Copernicus Sister Circle had additional raffles and sweets available.
The weather turned out warm and beautiful, in contrast to the rest of that week, or the week following. The brothers and families enjoyed a relaxed afternoon.
The Masters Picnic officially opened the Park for our Summer Picnic sessions. Most Lodges have a Booth at the Park and pick a day during the summer to have their own picnic (e.g. Allemania Lodge Picnic on Saturday July 25th 2009 - open at 10am til ...). The end of the Picnic season is the Annual Traubenfest, a big event for which the public is invited. I havent had the chance yet to attend a Traubenfest, but I am looking forward to it this year. It usually is scheduled for the first Sunday in October.
