1st Nassau Trip to Masonic Care Community (mcc)

On May 16th the 1st Nassau District hosted a bus trip to the Masonic Care Community (MCC) in Utica. The event was well planned out with refreshments and snacks on the Bus as well as a light Lunch in Utica.

Paul Roberts and Charly Catapano (DDGM) welcomed me and a friend at the un-holy hour of 5 am to join the brothers of 1st Nassau on their Trip. The Day was cloudy but warm and rain just didnt want to fall.

At MCC we were greeted by Kathy our tour guide for the day. Kathy had a story to tell about just every building or person associated with MCC, showing the high degree of interest and dedication we so much appreciate.

We visited the Administrative building and its Lodge room, the Tompins Chapel, Livingston Library and Museum, Wiley Hall, Acarcia Village (lunch was served here in their beautiful dining room) and last but not least The Health Pavillion. The tour of the Health Pavillion was done by Ira Cooperman with his usual anecdotes of Resident stories.

But the 1st Nassau District had more reason to be here today, as they were hosting their annual "Christmas in May" event. The seniors seemed to like it a lot and the Brothers and Employees in the Attrium made a real party out of the event.

Brothers from First Nassau - Thank you for letting us accompany you on this excellent Trip.
